Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled travel Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our talented team. As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) at WTCP, you will have the opportunity to contribute to patient care and improve their outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in assessing patients by observing their movement, strength, flexibility, and overall physical condition.
  • Carry out the treatment plans created by physical therapists, which may involve exercises, stretches, manual therapy techniques, and the use of therapeutic equipment.
  • Educate patients on their condition, the purpose of various exercises, and techniques to improve their mobility.
  • Provide guidance on at-home exercises and self-care.
  • Closely monitor patients' progress and report back to the supervising physical therapist.
  • May assist with the application of therapeutic modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation as part of the treatment plan.
  • Keep accurate and detailed records of patient treatment and progress.
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients during their rehabilitation process.
  • Work closely with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care.
Qualifications
  • Valid Physical Therapy Assistance Certification in the state of practice.
  • 1 year recent Physical Therapy Assistant experience in a rehab setting.
  • BLS Certification.
