Job Summary

The Behavioral Health Faculty will be responsible for developing and implementing the behavioral health curriculum at MaineHealth Maine Medical Center's Family Medicine Residency in Portland. This is a professional, clinical teaching position that provides teaching, curriculum development, and oversight of the education of Family Medicine Residents and medical students in Behavioral Health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement behavioral health curriculum for Family Medicine Residents and medical students
  • Provide teaching and clinical supervision to residents and students
  • Conduct research and writing to assess impact of educational programs and write curriculum and grants
  • Coordinate and ensure equitable access to resident videotape sessions, addiction rotations, and participation in Wellness Group Medical Visits
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work or closely related field of study
  • 2-3 years of progressively more responsible work experience in behavioral health
  • Current Clinical license in the State of Maine
  • Ability to obtain faculty appointment to Tufts University School of Medicine and provider status to health insurers
