About the Role

Advion Interchim Scientific, a leading technology company in the life science instrumentation and consumable products industry, is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our expanding team. This position will be based in Ithaca, NY, with limited remote work possibility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and drive projects to stay on time and budget, covering both hardware and software in the laboratory equipment market.
  • Leverage exemplary people skills to motivate and influence without supervisory authority.
  • Execute both software and hardware projects, either assigned to in-house resources, outsourced to third-party vendors, or run by scientific collaborators.
  • Contribute to projects as a single contributor in the technical area of expertise, such as lab validation testing, as time allows.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or other engineering field with a minimum of 7 years of experience.
  • Certification as a project management professional (PMP) or desire for certification and demonstrable experience managing hardware and software projects with a clear understanding of product development principles.
  • Hands-on experience with mass spectrometry, liquid chromatography, or other high-end scientific laboratory equipment or medical equipment is a plus.
  • Proficient in the use of software tools for project management (e.g., Jira, Confluence, MS Project) and office suite in general.
  • Positive attitude, ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Up to 20% overnight travel may be required for collaboration sites, company sites in Europe and Asia, or contractor audits.
  • Security clearance on a secret level would be a plus.
