Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Project Engineer to join our team at Eurofins USA Consumer Product Testing. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory test requirements and ensuring that products meet the necessary standards.

Your primary responsibilities will include working with a technical team to set up, test, and disassemble equipment under test (EUT) being evaluated by our organization and partner testing laboratories. You will be responsible for setting up and executing tests, documenting results, and preparing reports. In doing so, you will apply custom testing solutions that utilize the latest technology.

You will operate testing equipment, read schematics, troubleshoot, and interact with technical support staff to resolve problems. You will also interpret standards and apply the requirements to products under investigation, create and implement test procedures, conduct tests in accordance with standards and procedures, record results, and ensure that test equipment is calibrated or tested and operates properly.

You will support the sales team to provide quotes and interface with and update the Manager(s), and Project Coordinator(s).

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory test requirements
  • Set up, test, and disassemble EUT
  • Document results and prepare reports
  • Apply custom testing solutions
  • Operate testing equipment and read schematics
  • Troubleshoot and interact with technical support staff
  • Interpret standards and apply requirements

Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a product certification engineer
  • Experience with regulatory test requirements including measurements of applicable standards
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and organize and prioritize workload to meet or exceed deadlines
  • Technical problem-solving and process improvement skills
