This Account Manager role within our Manufacturing Practice Group is essential for fostering long-term, trustworthy relationships with our clients and insurance carriers. As the primary liaison, you will oversee the daily service needs of our clients, ensuring their requirements are met with efficiency and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promptly manage and address all client inquiries received via phone, mail, fax, or email.
  • Accurately create binders, certificates, change requests, and other related documentation, adhering to agency standards and procedures.
  • Prepare invoices, manage binder billings, apply credits, resolve billing inquiries, and oversee the collection process for agency-billed items.
  • Facilitate new business orientations for clients, ensuring seamless transitions when carriers change.
  • Assist in evaluating and updating clients' operations and risk exposures, gathering necessary information for new and renewal accounts.
  • Coordinate the preparation of proposals and supporting materials to enable the Client Executive to effectively write and renew accounts.
  • Collaborate with Client Executives and Account Executives to determine marketing strategies and maintain strong relationships with carriers.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of loss information and histories related to assigned accounts.
  • Provide training to clients on Kapnick Connect.
  • Maintain monthly expiration lists and coordinate Auto ID mailings.
  • Process and issue bonds and flood coverage/policies.
  • Handle cancellations in accordance with agency procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with team members on assigned accounts.
  • Monitor and manage voicemail, incoming mailboxes, and activities in line with agency guidelines.
  • Log any unprocessed mail appropriately.
  • Ensure accurate and consistent information is maintained in EPIC and electronic files, following agency service standards.
  • Assist in setting up and processing new business clients under the guidance of the Account Executive.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, team discussions, peer reviews, and training sessions as required.
  • Support team members by contacting clients and carriers for information as needed.
  • Keep others informed about carrier programs or changes in coverage or procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in customer service.
  • At least 3 years of experience in commercial insurance.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficient math skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Property & Casualty License is preferred.
