Patient Care Coordinator

The Patient Care Coordinator is the primary point of contact for patients, visitors, and guests. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to input data accurately into the computer system. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, customer-focused, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Welcome and greet patients, visitors, and guests in person or over the phone, providing a positive and welcoming experience.
- Register new patients and update existing patient demographics, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Verify insurance and obtain necessary authorizations, assigning correct pay type and collecting payments due.
- Maintain provider schedules, following office scheduling policies.
- Answer incoming calls, responding to patients, prospective patients, and visitor inquiries in a courteous and professional manner.
- Take messages for providers and staff as needed, ensuring timely communication.
- Keep the front office and reception area clean and organized, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.
- Attend trainings and meetings as required, staying up-to-date on policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management, supporting the team and contributing to the success of the organization.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Two years of experience in a Community Health setting preferred.
- Medical or Dental Assistant Certification preferred.
- Experience operating a computer and word processing software.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English required.
- Ability to travel between clinics required.
