Job Overview:

The Housekeeping Operations Supervisor is accountable for overseeing and guiding all cleaning activities within the hotel, ensuring that the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction are consistently achieved in alignment with established brand and company protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure adherence to relevant Tribal, Federal, and other legal requirements, as well as Kickapoo Lucky Eagle policies and procedures.
  • Maintain exceptional guest service standards by attentively addressing and resolving guest and team member inquiries and concerns.
  • Investigate and resolve guest complaints to guarantee satisfaction.
  • Develop, implement, and uphold appropriate standards and procedures for housekeeping personnel in accordance with company expectations.
  • Conduct inspections and assessments of guest rooms and public spaces.
  • Manage inventory of linens, guest supplies, and amenities, ensuring adequate stock levels.
  • Provide training for all housekeeping and laundry staff in line with established expectations and standards.
  • Document departmental needs to assist management in preparing budget requests.
  • Perform room inspections, which may involve bending, stooping, reaching overhead, and moving throughout guest floors.
  • Foster employee satisfaction in current roles while focusing on their professional development.
  • Evaluate the condition of furniture, fixtures, and decor, offering recommendations and aiding in the coordination of renovation projects.
  • Assist in conducting departmental operational audits and contribute to the development of corrective action plans.
  • Update and enforce all safety protocols for the department.
  • Participate in the Safety Committee.
  • Comply with fire and safety regulations.
  • Organize and lead pre-shift and departmental meetings to share essential daily information. Attend other hotel meetings as necessary.
  • Make routine hiring decisions.
  • Engage in daily communication with other management and department heads.
  • Availability to work all shifts is required.
  • Contribute to the formulation of the annual budget for operational and capital expenses.
  • Ensure the security of the hotel’s guests, employees, and property assets.
  • Exemplify and promote KLECH core values and MAD skills.
  • Safeguard confidential information entrusted to the position.
  • Complete all required training as assigned.
  • Monitor compliance with Federal currency transaction reporting requirements, Title 31 requirements, and IRS Currency Transaction Reports, while maintaining established Anti-Money Laundering policies.
  • The responsibilities outlined above are not exhaustive but represent a general overview of the duties pertinent to this role. Responsibilities may evolve based on organizational needs and/or directives from the Director.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum of three (3) years of management experience.
  • Basic knowledge of sanitation requirements and the application of relevant chemicals.
  • Familiarity with brand standards and corporate policies related to housekeeping, particularly those concerning guest and hotel property safety and security.
  • Basic mathematical skills for preparing moderately complex financial reports.
  • Ability to effectively interact with employees, vendors, and contractors.
  • Capability to coordinate and collaborate with other departments regarding housekeeping services.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move continuously to inspect rooms on all hotel floors.
  • Proficiency in accessing and accurately inputting information using a moderately complex computer system for room inventory management.
  • Fluency in Spanish is required.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is a plus.
Additional Criteria:

Preference is given to qualified members of the Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas and qualified Native Americans.

Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly required to stand, sit, walk, push, pull, bend for extended periods; reach with hands and arms; communicate effectively in person or via telecommunications.
  • Must be able to concentrate for prolonged periods.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
  • Must possess the manual dexterity to operate a keyboard, touch-screen display, telephone, and calculator.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.
Work Environment:
  • Normal office setting and casino floor.
  • Frequent walking and standing in a smoke-filled environment with regular interaction with the public.
  • Temperature-controlled environment with varying noise levels; may experience high noise levels throughout the day.
  • Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to perform under pressure and work long hours in stressful conditions.
  • May encounter risks associated with resolving issues with difficult guests and highly upset staff members.
  • Exposure to various lighting types, including artificial fluorescent lights, flashing lights, and strobe lights.
  • Travel may be necessary to fulfill one or more essential functions of this position.
Employment Conditions:
  • Must be able to obtain and retain a KTTT Gaming Commission License, including successful completion of a background check necessary for obtaining and maintaining the license. Responsible for keeping all documents current and valid.
  • Must provide authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have reliable transportation for commuting to and from work.
  • Must comply with KLEC handbook, internal policies and procedures, and gaming regulations established within KLEC.
