Job Summary

Ryder System is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Marietta, Georgia. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on heavy-duty vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties
  • Conduct standard vehicle maintenance and component inspections
  • Diagnose mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computers
  • Identify root causes of failures and perform repairs as required
  • Replace defective components as instructed
  • Perform facility maintenance duties
  • Interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints
  • Utilize Shop Management System and electronic documentation
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Demonstrated aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
