About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Sales and Revenue Growth to join our team at Courtyard Fort Myers Cape Coral. As a key member of our sales and marketing team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and maximizing occupancy levels at our hotel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to achieve revenue growth and occupancy targets
  • Manage and coordinate all group, transient, and catering sales solicitations and bookings to maximize overall revenue
  • Develop and recommend the annual budget and advertising, public relations, marketing, and sales plans and programs for the hotel
  • Conduct outside sales calls, sales tours, and entertain clients to build relationships and drive revenue growth
  • Monitor production of top accounts and evaluate trends within the market to identify opportunities for growth
  • Train hotel staff on sales opportunities and provide coaching and guidance to ensure they are equipped to capitalize on revenue-generating opportunities
  • Maintain strong visibility in the local community and industry organizations to build relationships and stay informed about market trends
  • Attend and conduct daily, weekly, and monthly meetings to provide training and updates to the team
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of progressive hotel sales experience, or a 4-year college degree and at least 1 year of related experience, or a 2-year college degree and at least 2 years of related experience
  • Valid driver's license in the applicable state
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills to negotiate, convince, sell, and influence other managerial personnel, hotel guests, and corporate clients
  • Thorough experience with professional selling skills, including opening, probing, supporting, and closing
  • Strong analytical skills and strategic vision to establish appropriate sales deployment
  • Proficient in general computer knowledge, especially Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to work independently and simultaneously manage multiple tasks
  • Strong organization and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact and manage people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds while solving complex problems and creating a productive sales team
  • Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the sales/marketing/hospitality profession
  • Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations and maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
  • Ability to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
