This approach allows us to deliver homes as a product, pre-fabricating them in our factories and transporting the components to the site for final assembly.


The Role


We are seeking a skilled Crane Operator/Assembly Associate to join our field construction division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining one of our fleet cranes (Articulating Boom or Telescopic Boom) to assemble our homes in the field.


Responsibilities



  • Operate and maintain cranes and heavy equipment on construction sites, ensuring safe and efficient assembly of prefabricated homes.
  • Select and prepare slings, spreaders, shackles, and hooks for lifts, adhering to strict safety protocols.
  • Complete assembly and disassembly tasks, including extending jibs or dead sections, changing blocks, and changing cable.
  • Perform maintenance activities on equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Inspect cranes annually for defective parts and/or malfunctions, and perform daily safety inspections prior to use.
  • Complete and maintain lift and critical lift plans, ensuring accurate documentation of assembly processes.

Requirements



  • NCCCO, TLL (Telescopic Boom Crane/Swing Cab) and ABC (Articulating Boom Crane) certifications are required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a crane operator, with knowledge of equipment diagnostics, maintenance, and repair.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure, with excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record, with the ability to work with a variety of tools and equipment.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs, climb ladders, and navigate through the site while operating cranes.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Compensation and Benefits


Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role is $30 - $35 hourly for Hayward, CA and surrounding areas. Benefits include paid vacations, sick, and holidays, life insurance, pre-tax flexible spending accounts, health benefits, dental, and vision insurance.
