The Georgia Department of Community Health is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Professor of Air Conditioning Technology to join our team. As an Adjunct Professor, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the field of air conditioning technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver lecture and lab course materials to students
  • Evaluate student progress and provide feedback
  • Prepare and maintain required documentation and administrative reports
  • Display a high level of effort and commitment to performing work
  • Assist with recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Two years of work experience beyond air conditioning education
  • Refrigerant Recovery Certification
  • Class I restricted State of Georgia License

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Ten years of full-time Residential and/or Commercial Air Conditioning service and installation experience
  • Postsecondary teaching experience

Working Conditions

  • This position requires moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another
  • This position requires the ability to adjust or move objects up to 15 pounds in all directions
  • This position requires the ability to repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
  • This position requires the ability to operate machinery and/or power tools
