General Role Overview:
As a Technical Services Engineer, you will be responsible for providing warranty engineering and technical support to clients and field engineers. Your expertise will help ensure the successful resolution of equipment issues and enhance customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop solutions for clients and field engineers based on failure trend analysis.
- Offer guidance and technical support to resolve onsite challenges.
- Utilize remote diagnostic tools to analyze equipment failures when required.
- Lead problem-solving initiatives involving engineering teams, suppliers, and clients to address issues at client locations.
- Collaborate with clients and engineers to rectify deficiencies in hardware, software, or system design.
- Coordinate resources, including parts and engineering availability, for field change implementations.
- Communicate any design deficiencies to the factory and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records in the CRM for timely reporting.
- Monitor and report warranty costs for the assigned business unit.
- Prepare and distribute Service Advices to clients and field engineers as needed.
- Draft and review field reports for client distribution.
- Uphold safety qualifications relevant to assigned tasks and adhere to safety protocols.
- Manage warranty replacements efficiently.
- Address supplier product failures promptly and cost-effectively.
- Be available for client support after regular business hours on a rotating basis.
- Investigate proposed field changes and provide feedback to the parent company as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in field engineering, customer support, or project engineering within industrial control and drive systems.
- Proven ability to build successful relationships with clients and suppliers.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Commitment to continuous improvement in all responsibilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, approximately 20% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in controls engineering.
- Familiarity with VFD engineering.
