We are seeking a highly skilled Plumbing Engineer to join our team at Ascent Engineering Group. As a Consulting Engineering Firm, we specialize in designing Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Low-Voltage Systems for K-12 schools, higher education, and municipal projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop holistic plumbing and fire protection systems, including schematic conceptualization, load calculations, equipment selection, layouts, piping, and writing specifications.
  • Produce 100% complete construction documents that meet project budgets, schedules, and performance criteria in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analyze and interpret design verification data to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Collaborate with the team to coordinate design verification activities, including assigning roles and responsibilities.
  • Escalate potential issues to the Sr. Mechanical Engineer as needed.
  • Advise on technical specialties or design as required.
  • Work with established outside vendors to ensure product oversight, timelines, and quality control.
Requirements:
  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
  • EIT registration or P.E. license is strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • 4+ years of experience working with a consulting engineering or A/E firm.
  • Experience as an HVAC/Plumbing designer.
  • Proficiency in completing MEP construction design documents in Autodesk Revit.
