Job Overview:

Stony Brook Medicine is seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for managing the care of respiratory patients of all ages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide ventilator care and arterial blood gas punctures
  • Perform intubation and medication treatments
  • Routine cleaning and stocking equipment

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • NYS Licensed Respiratory Therapist
  • A.A.S. degree in Respiratory Therapy required, Bachelor of Science Degree preferred
  • 1 to 2 years prior respiratory care experience as a Respiratory Therapist, 5 years preferred
  • Current BLS provider certification from the American Heart Association is required
  • Current PALS provider certification from the American Heart Association is required within one year of hire
  • Current NRP provider certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Heart Association is required within 1 year of hire
  • Ability to work unsupervised

Compensation:

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $90,000 based on relevant experience.
