Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Respiratory Therapist to manage the care of respiratory patients at Stony Brook Medicine. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team of healthcare professionals and contribute to delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage ventilator care and provide arterial blood gas punctures
  2. Perform intubation and administer medication treatments
  3. Maintain clean and well-stocked equipment

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • NYS Licensed Respiratory Therapist
  • A.A.S. degree in Respiratory Therapy required, Bachelor of Science Degree preferred
  • 1 to 2 years prior respiratory care experience as a Respiratory Therapist, 5 years preferred
  • Current BLS provider certification from the American Heart Association is required
  • Current PALS provider certification from the American Heart Association is required within one year of hire
  • Current NRP provider certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Heart Association is required within 1 year of hire
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
