Job Title: EEG Technician I

UC Health is seeking a highly skilled EEG Technician I to join our team in the Sleep Medicine/Sleep Lab department at UC Holmes Hospital. As an EEG Technologist, you will be responsible for performing electroneurodiagnostic procedures, monitoring patients, and providing education on END procedures and epilepsy to the care team and patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Engage in population-appropriate communication with patients and families.
  • Provide clear instructions to patients and families regarding treatment.
  • Involve family members in the assessment, initial treatment, and continuing care of the patient.
  • Identify and respond to patients' physical limitations and deploy interventions as needed.
  • Recognize and respond appropriately to patients with behavioral health problems.
  • Interpret population-related data and plan care accordingly.
  • Perform treatments, administer medication, or operate equipment safely.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Maintain American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
  • Graduate from a training program and obtain Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) credential from the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists within 18 months of hire.
