Job Summary

This role will assist in the design and development of educational materials and training programs aligned with the Health Alliance for Violence Intervention (HAVI) Standards and Indicators. The successful candidate will deliver competency-based, practical hands-on training to frontline workers and practitioners in the field.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update the training curriculum for frontline workers and practitioners, including Elements of HVIP, Intro to Violence Prevention Professional (VPP), VPP certification, Supervisor training, Standards and Indicators, and HVIPs in the CVI ecosystem.
  • Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions and provide technical assistance to staff of Hospital-based Violence Intervention Programs (HVIPs) across the nation.
  • Contribute significant expertise to the development, implementation, and evaluation of all training programs.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in education and/or experience in hospital-based violence intervention programs.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or 2 years of additional work experience.
  • Experience training: facilitating engaging workshops, activities, and/or small groups, including strong group management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated experience in public speaking, facilitation, and/or training delivery.
  • Ability to operate with a lens of equity, social justice, and trauma-informed approaches.
Benefits

HRiA offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $75,000, based on experience and internal equity factors. National travel 15-20% is expected for this position.

The Training Manager will report to the Associate Director, Communities of Practice. This is an exempt full-time position. HRiA offers flexible summer hours, vacation starting at 4 weeks annually, 13 paid holidays, and office closure time during the last week of December.
