Colby Co. is a recognized leader in the consulting engineering design firm industry. We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Designer to join our team in Portland, Maine.

Job Responsibilities:
• Prepare plans and coordinate drawings for a wide range of mechanical engineering designs, including HVAC systems, industrial systems, system controls, boiler design, and machine design.
• Collaborate with multiple disciplines on multidisciplinary design teams, working on projects from $50,000 to $100M in construction value.
• Utilize proficiency in AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD MEP, with experience in Revit or other BIM a plus.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high-quality results and timely project delivery.

Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience in HVAC and plumbing design in a consulting engineering design firm setting.
• Excellent technical skills and a successful track record of design and quality control.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to work in fluid teams on tight deadlines and adapt to changing project requirements.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD MEP, with experience in Revit or other BIM a plus.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality results and meeting project deadlines.
