Position Overview:

We are looking for a driven Research Associate with a background in cell biology, biochemistry, immunology, or a related discipline to join our Discovery Research team.

The ideal candidate will become part of a vibrant, fast-paced team engaged in the initial phases of therapeutic drug development.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, characterizing, and developing innovative cell therapies utilizing A2's cutting-edge TmodTM logic-gated platform.

You will collaborate with a cross-functional team of scientists to explore novel synthetic proteins aimed at enhancing CAR-T cell functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with scientists to design, execute, and analyze cell-based assays that investigate the mechanisms of CAR T cell therapies.
  • Conduct essential laboratory techniques, including mammalian tissue culture, flow cytometry, and in vitro binding/functional assays.
  • Work both independently and as part of a team to identify and resolve critical issues, advancing research projects according to established timelines and objectives.
  • Stay informed on relevant scientific literature and emerging technologies.
  • Present findings in internal and external meetings and contribute to manuscript submissions for publication.


Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in biochemistry, cell biology, or a related field with 2+ years of scientific experience.
  • OR a Master's degree in related fields with 1+ year of scientific experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on laboratory experience with mammalian cell culture, flow cytometry, and cell-based assays.
  • General understanding of immunology principles.
  • Experience in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting scientific data.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, cross-functional, and collaborative environment.
  • A strong scientific curiosity and eagerness to learn.
