This position entails the processing of diverse biological samples, the development of molecular assays, and the execution of thorough data analysis. The ideal candidate should be capable of working autonomously and is expected to commence work promptly with minimal oversight.
Position Title: Research Associate – Translational Science
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and refine molecular assays for preclinical research.
- Conduct and interpret molecular biology experiments, adhering to rigorous standards.
- Maintain and update assay protocols and ensure proper care of laboratory instruments.
- Oversee laboratory operations, including procurement and inventory management.
- Engage in team meetings and collaborative discussions.
- Uphold laboratory safety protocols and maintain comprehensive documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or a related discipline.
- 4-6 years of relevant experience in industry or academia.
- Expertise in molecular assays, DNA/RNA extraction, qPCR, digital droplet PCR, and sequencing techniques.
- Familiarity with Bioanalyzer, TapeStation, and KingFisher systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Prism, and SnapGene software.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and communication abilities.
- A collaborative mindset and a willingness to learn in a dynamic environment.
