About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Cancer Care Coordinator to join our team at Central Maine Medical Center. As a key member of our oncology team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless delivery of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient care and support, including registration, scheduling, and reimbursement coordination.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate and timely patient information.
  • Manage patient health information, including demographic and insurance data.
  • Coordinate scheduling for medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Verify patient eligibility for assistance programs and refer patients to social workers as needed.
  • Collect payments and prepare bank deposits.
  • Coordinate chemo/biotherapy and radiation oncology schedules, managing delays and revisions.
  • Manage patient schedules to accommodate frequent and unanticipated visits.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure exceptional care.
