**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team at General Dynamics Mission Systems. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating complex systems and networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform requirements analysis, definition, and management for system development and integration.
- Conduct functional analysis, performance analysis, and system design to ensure system meets applicable governmental security specifications.
- Develop and evaluate systems, networks, and information systems to ensure designs meet applicable governmental security specifications.
- Provide system accreditation/certification evaluation and test support to ensure all technical security features of the system are considered and function properly.
- Develop system security documentation on both new and fielded information systems.
- Participate in Modeling and Simulation.
- Research and analyze data to determine feasibility of design or application.
- Support the generation of technical engineering products by using the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle.
- May provide leadership and/or direction to lower-level employees.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field.
- Agile experience preferred, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance within a reasonable time from date of hire.
Working Relationships:
- Regular contact with senior levels of internal working groups.
- Contact with Deputy Program Managers Engineering (DPME) and other professionals within the Engineering department and with project teams across the company.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Coordinating external interfaces and ICDs.
- Multi-level security domain expertise (and cross-domain).
- Quickly decomposing requirements to a level that can avoid requirements bloat (and communicate/track impacts).
- System-level networking person that can face off with the GFE WAN provider and coordinate detailed network design.
- Someone that can understand what is in scope and what is out of scope and manage that complexity.
- People with agile program experience.
