Essential Qualifications:

Security Clearance Requirements:
Top Secret/SCI security clearance is mandatory at the time of hiring. Candidates selected will undergo a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information. U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of work performed.

Role Objectives:
GDMS Advanced Systems Engineers are tasked with analyzing, designing, developing, and testing GDMS systems to ensure the integration of software, hardware, reliability, maintainability, safety, and other requirements in the overall engineering effort.

Responsibilities encompass:
  • Requirements analysis and management
  • Functional and performance analysis
  • System design and trade studies
  • Systems integration and testing (verification)
  • Validation and interface definition studies of system components

Tasks may involve:
  • Formulating operational concepts
  • Conducting mission, functional, cost-benefit, and risk analysis
  • Developing signal processing architecture and overall system architecture

Our systems often incorporate digital signal processing algorithms implemented in both hardware and software for space-based applications. Highly qualified candidates will have experience in digital signal processing algorithm development for statistical analysis of signal parameter measurements, utilizing techniques from Detection & Estimation Theory, Random Processes Analysis, and Communications and Information Theory. Familiarity with MATLAB for DSP, along with experience in Radar Processing, DSP for RF effects, Monte Carlo analysis, or Phased Array/Beam Forming is advantageous.

Preferred Skills and Experiences:
  • Background in Electrical Engineering and/or Systems Engineering, particularly focused on digital signal processing
  • Experience with Agile hardware, software, or firmware development
  • Knowledge of Digital Engineering/Model Based Systems Engineering
  • Experience in Space Payloads
