Position Overview
The Clinical Coordinator RN plays a critical role in the coordination of departmental clinical operations at WakeMed. This position is responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of patient care throughout the perioperative period, working closely with anesthesia personnel, surgeons, nursing staff, and other stakeholders to achieve this goal.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate admissions and transfers to facilitate timely patient flow
- Delegate patient care to appropriate personnel based on needs, abilities, and expertise
- Identify and implement effective communication and coordination methodologies to support perioperative processes
Requirements
- 4 years of experience in a nursing-related area, with a focus on critical care (ICU/CCU) or surgical services
- Graduate nursing degree required, with a bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
- Registered Nurse licensure required, with national certification in nursing preferred
Work Schedule
- Saturday and Sunday shifts from 7:00am to 7:30pm
- Every weekend, with occasional call as needed
