Job Summary

Actalent is seeking a skilled Production Chemist to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory, you will be responsible for performing protein purification and specific assays on a daily basis. Your expertise in molecular techniques, such as gel electrophoresis, will be essential in maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety in our lab.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform protein purification and specific assays on a daily basis.
  • Conduct antibody, antigen, and other type purifications.
  • Operate molecular techniques such as gel electrophoresis.
  • Perform titrations and pipetting using a micro pipette.
  • Maintain the lab and lab equipment, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
  • Purify single donor antigens using chromatography.
  • Dispose of contaminated waste and non-reusable materials.
  • Clean and sanitize vials and equipment for laboratory use.
  • Assist in preparing materials for manufacturing ELISA plates and other lab-based materials.
  • Document lab results, including temperatures, times, and materials, into our ERP system.
  • Comply with GLP's, GMP, and OSHA regulations.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Biology.

Work Environment
  • This is a laboratory environment with a clean and safe working space.
  • You will work with a team of 20 people, including the manager, and collaborate with the cell culture group.
  • Flexible hours, typically 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with 40-45 hours per week.
