Petro-Chem Sales Estimating Specialist

Job Summary
MetalTek International is seeking a skilled Petro-Chem Sales Estimating Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing accurate and thorough estimates of costs and lead times to support the creation of quotes for our Petro-Chemical customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop estimates for the manufacture of custom-made, high-end application castings, incorporating material costs and all manufacturing activities, including casting, heat treating, machining, and quality assurance activities.
- Collaborate with field sales, sales, manufacturing, and metallurgical engineers to build estimates and ensure accuracy.
- Identify and assess the risk potential of new business opportunities and maintain a close working relationship with Engineering to drive improvements in the Petro-Chemical product line.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or materials technology, or equivalent experience in the metals manufacturing industry or knowledge of the Petro-Chem market, applications, and product design.
- Excellent understanding of foundry and fabrication techniques and processes.
- Strong computer knowledge, including spreadsheets and database skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
