Ocular Research Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
  • Education and Experience: PhD or Master's degree in Ophthalmology or a related field, with extensive experience in ocular research.
  • Vivarium Responsibilities: Proven experience in non-clinical ocular imaging, animal handling, intravitreal injections, eye dissection, and tissue perfusion.
  • Sample Management: Hands-on experience managing samples from in vivo studies.
  • Wet Lab Skills: Basic skills in molecular biology and biochemistry techniques, including DNA/RNA extraction, lysate preparation, qPCR, protein quantification, and techniques such as Western blot and ELISA.
  • Test Modalities: Experience in evaluating various test modalities (e.g., small molecules, large molecules, oligonucleotides) in vitro is highly desirable.
  • Cell Models and Immunoassays: Experience in generating novel cell models and/or developing immunoassays is a plus.

Location: The ideal candidate will be local to Massachusetts.
