Activities Coordinator

We are seeking a talented and dedicated Activities Assistant to join our team at The Glades at Championsgate. As an Activities Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a engaging and inclusive community life program that promotes the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of our residents.
Job Summary:The Activities Assistant will be responsible for planning, organizing, and developing the overall operation of the Activity Department. This includes ensuring that an on-going program of activities is designed to meet the interests and needs of each resident, in accordance with their comprehensive assessment.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and implement a variety of activities and programs that promote resident engagement and well-being
- Collaborate with the community life team to develop and implement a comprehensive community life program
- Ensure that all activities and programs are in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations
- Provide innovative and responsible healthcare through the creation and implementation of new ideas and concepts
- Work closely with the Executive Director and Activities Director to ensure that the Activity Department is operating in accordance with established policies and procedures
- 2 years experience in preparing and implementing activities preferred
- Able to work weekends and holidays
- Degree in therapeutic recreation or related field a plus
- 2-4 years' experience in resident programming preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer literate
