Industrial Maintenance Specialist

Overview:
This role primarily emphasizes Electrical Engineering.
The Industrial Maintenance Specialist is responsible for the installation, upkeep, and repair of production and manufacturing machinery. This includes inspecting equipment to ensure optimal performance and executing preventative maintenance tasks in accordance with the manufacturer's guidelines.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
A high school diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory.
A one-year certificate from a college or technical institution; or THREE years of relevant experience and/or training in the maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment; or a suitable combination of ongoing education and experience.
Other Functions:
Ability to read, write, perform basic mathematical calculations, and accurately document data is essential.
Willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as necessary.
Must be capable of frequently standing, walking, kneeling, reaching, climbing, pulling, and bending with full body motion.
Must be able to frequently lift and/or move 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds.
Ability to work independently and/or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment is crucial.
Strong analytical skills and a systematic approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving are required.
Preferred, but not mandatory, experience with compressors/ammonia systems (e.g., refrigeration systems).
Experience with PLC (e.g., industrial maintenance, computer control systems, etc.).
Experience with basic electrical systems (e.g., starters, fuses, contacts, relays).
Experience with conveyors (air cylinders, diverters, sensors, motor/speed controls).
Experience with electrical systems (installation, frequency drive, troubleshooting)
Experience with electronics (e.g., level probes, flow meters, drives/VFDs, etc.).
Experience with gearing and gearboxes (rebuilds, ordering parts, machining parts).
Experience with hydraulic systems (high-pressure cylinders, pumps, valves, troubleshooting).
Experience with kinematics (e.g., line speed/sprocket size ratios, etc.).
Review rating instructions.
Experience with packaging/high-speed production (e.g., bottling, consumer products, etc.).
Experience with pneumatics (solenoids, cylinders, motor brakes, reading, troubleshooting).
Experience with pneumatics/air compression (e.g., valves, cylinders, etc.).
Experience with preventative maintenance (computerized preventative charts/data).
Experience with pumps (e.g., troubleshooting, replacing seals/motors, understanding specifications).
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Preferred certifications include PLC, HVAC, Ammonia, Refrigeration, or other specialized credentials, though not required.
Working Conditions:
Must be capable of working in both hot and cold environments, indoors and outdoors.
Language Skills:
English is the primary language; however, bilingual skills may be advantageous based on business needs.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive preventative maintenance inspections and services on all production and manufacturing equipment in line with manufacturer specifications and company protocols.
With a mindset focused on continuous improvement, assist in identifying opportunities to enhance processes.
Adhere to all company work and safety regulations, as well as compliance with regulatory standards.
Utilize all personal protective equipment in accordance with OSHA regulations.
Possess the necessary personal tools to perform assigned duties.
