Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Full Time evening shift Exercise Specialist who is enthusiastic about promoting healthy lifestyle choices to join our team at a leading retail company's headquarters.

The scheduled hours for this role are from 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide ongoing fitness assessments for participants, including movement evaluations, needs assessments, and goal establishment, to recommend suitable fitness programs and associated wellness services.
  • Create comprehensive and progressive fitness plans to inspire and motivate participants, ensuring a rewarding overall experience.
  • Supervise, engage, and instruct participants in the fitness center on the safe and effective use of cardiovascular, flexibility, and strength training equipment.
  • Inform participants about scientifically validated health and fitness information, available fitness and engagement programs, and additional wellness services.
  • Complete internal training courses via a learning management system.
  • Uphold a positive customer and client experience by delivering exceptional service.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in exercise science, kinesiology, or a related discipline, or a certification from an NCCA-accredited personal training program.
  • Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
  • Knowledge of exercise testing and prescription, along with the ability to utilize various fitness tools and equipment.
  • Strong networking, engagement, and interpersonal skills with clients, guests, and members.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
