Job Summary

Grange Insurance Association is seeking a highly skilled Compliance and Quality Assurance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for shaping and leading our compliance and quality assurance functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance Policy Framework: Develop, maintain, and administer Grange Insurance Association's compliance policy framework for current business activity and future development, ensuring the compliance function is aligned to the organization's long-term strategy.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Maintain knowledge of state and federal insurance statutes and regulations relevant to Grange Insurance Association's operations and provide training and communication on regulatory changes that impact business operations.
  • Quality Assurance Activities: Create and maintain operational quality assurance activities such as audits, reporting, and surveys.
  • Compliance Plans and Programs: Design compliance plans and programs; direct compliance activities.
  • Complaint and Exam Management: Manage response for complaints and market conduct exams from state regulators.
  • Regulatory Developments: Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of Grange Insurance Association as well as evolving best practices in compliance control.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Communicate and collaborate with business units to resolve non-compliant practices.
  • Quality Assurance Program: Develop and implement a quality assurance program, including defining quality standards, designing testing procedures, and establishing a framework for ongoing monitoring.
  • Operational Controls: Evaluate the efficiency of and continuously improve operational controls.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant area and four years of business regulatory compliance or other related experience; experience may substitute for education.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify complex problems, review related information to develop, evaluate, and implement solutions.
  • Reporting and Record Keeping: Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping.
  • Leadership and Development: Ability to lead others, provide direction, and professional development.
  • Insurance Knowledge: Ability to analyze and interpret insurance technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication skills, ability to present in large groups, and ability to explain technical concepts in an operational setting.
  • Confidentiality: Works with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Industry Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of standard industry personal lines, commercial, and farm insurance lines of business and common practices.
  • Professional Certifications: Related professional certifications preferred.
Benefits
  • Pay Range: $67,725 to $84,510
