Position Overview:
- Assist in obtaining environmental air permits to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Prepare and submit air permit applications in collaboration with external consultants.
- Oversee adherence to data collection, permit requests, and quality assurance/control procedures, ensuring alignment with company standards.
- Make determinations regarding applicability for OOOO/OOOOa/OOOOb and NESHAP regulations.
- Regularly communicate changes in equipment, flash factors, or emissions to the Emission Accounting team.
- Maintain ongoing communication with Production Operations, Facilities Engineering, and Maintenance teams to ensure accuracy of permits and feasibility of air permit conditions.
- Collect, maintain, and analyze datasets for use in environmental reporting.
- Manage projects, including the development of bid proposals and oversight of contractor activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the upstream Oil & Gas sector.
- At least 3 years of experience in air permitting within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Experience with environmental compliance in New Mexico or Texas.
- Familiarity with environmental engineering software for air emissions calculations (e.g., TanksESP, HYSIS, Symetry, ProMax, E&P Tanks 2.0v).
- Preferred experience in permitting compressor engines and production facilities.
Position Details:
- Compensation: $80-82 per hour
- Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (8-hour days), with a hybrid model of 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.
- Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel up to 25% to field locations.
