Senior Category Leader

The Senior Category Leader will be responsible for driving long-term improvements in service, quality, cost, delivery, and innovation across NetJets' global supplier and category strategies. This role will manage a complex portfolio of key suppliers, executing relevant category strategies through the sourcing process, negotiation, and contract development. The Senior Category Leader will also manage commercial and contractual relationships within their portfolio, ensuring timely resolution of commercial issues. Additionally, this role will assist in developing a robust process and governance framework to guide the day-to-day activities of the Global Procurement group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute global supplier and category strategies to drive business improvements.
  • Manage a complex portfolio of key suppliers, executing category strategies through the sourcing process.
  • Negotiate with approved suppliers to develop contracts that meet product or service requirements.
  • Manage commercial and contractual relationships within their portfolio, ensuring timely resolution of commercial issues.
  • Assist in developing a robust process and governance framework to guide the day-to-day activities of the Global Procurement group.
Requirements
  • Proven track record of managing a purchasing portfolio in a global, multi-functional environment.
  • Solid knowledge of business and economic issues, cost structures, and contracts.
  • Deep understanding of the relevant industry, including cost drivers, market dynamics, and the competitive landscape.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills to influence and drive decision-making processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously, meeting tight timelines and targeted savings outcomes.
  • Strong conflict management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
