Position Title: Senior Civil Engineer
Position Overview: The Senior Civil Engineer is responsible for preparing and reviewing civil engineering calculations, sketches, drawings, specifications, and other deliverables. This role provides technical oversight for relevant aspects of assigned projects, including construction administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and monitor project scopes and timelines for applicable engineering disciplines.
- Identify and assess changes in project scope and their implications as they arise.
- Coordinate efforts with various disciplines, departments, construction teams, permitting agencies, vendors, subcontractors, and clients.
- Ensure that design work and documentation are accurate, consistent with applicable codes, logically structured, and feasible for construction.
Essential Skills:
Hard Skills:
- Proven experience in effective project execution and adherence to project procedures.
- Comprehensive understanding of zoning, wetland, and local, state, or federal agency requirements.
- Familiarity with generally accepted engineering standards and practices at local, state, and federal levels.
- Ability to supervise and guide project completion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Expertise in AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
- Experience with Bluebeam, Hydracad, and Hydraflow for storm and sanitary analysis.
Soft Skills:
- Strong organizational abilities for managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrates both technical breadth and depth in civil engineering principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Capability to effectively convey complex technical solutions and concepts.
Employment Type: This is a contract position.
Work Environment: This position is fully remote.
