Job Summary:The Assistant General Manager will play a key role in overseeing club operations, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for members, and providing exceptional customer service. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team and contribute to the success of our fitness centers.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in recruiting, hiring, training, and developing a high-performing staff.
- Maintain a welcoming atmosphere for members, prospective members, and guests, ensuring staff follows superior customer service guidelines.
- Assist with staff management, providing backup support to the Club Manager as needed.
- Lead by example, involving yourself in all front desk-related activities, including greeting members, answering phones, and facilitating member requests.
- Assist in overseeing cleanliness and maintenance of the club, ensuring the safety of employees, members, and club property.
- Must be 18 years of age or older and have a high school diploma/GED equivalent.
- One year of customer service experience, preferably in a similar gym or retail environment.
- Current CPR Certification required.
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite) and the ability to learn systems quickly.
- Solid supervisory, diplomacy, and listening skills.
- Hard working, enthusiastic, and energetic, with a passion for health and fitness.
- Continual standing and walking during shift.
- Continual talking in person or on the phone during shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
