About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Fundraising Operations to join our team at Solomon Page. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our clients in the non-profit industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Oversee the Resource Development annual global budget, including forecasting requirements, monitoring departmental expenditures and income.
  • Data Management: Manage Resource Development's data management, serve as the liaison to the IT and Gift Processing and Analytics Departments regarding reporting, analysis, and evaluation work.
  • Project Management: Head up the implementation of a fundraising system upgrade and future changes, including defining business rules and serving on an inter-departmental Project Management Team.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Identify and present high-level analytics related to the RD efforts to JDC and external stakeholders, in collaboration with colleagues.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with IT, Project Management and Gift Processing and Analytics Departments to ensure data informs and guides strategic Resource Development efforts.
  • Event Planning: Plan Global RD Forums, including coordination of RD role in Board Meetings.
  • Project Oversight: Lead oversight and management of RD projects.
  • Policies and Procedures: Review and update department policies and procedures.
  • Strategic Planning: Work with CAO and SMT to facilitate annual planning process, including setting the long term and short-term planning priorities, fundraising goals and metrics, and board meeting planning.
  • Business Planning: Develop and execute 3–5-year business plan for the department.
  • Team Management: Supervise the RD Systems and Donor Services teams.
  • Administrative Support: Supervise an Administrative Assistant.
  • Professional Development: Networks, benchmarking best-practices, participating in professional societies.
Requirements
  • Financial Experience: Advanced budgeting and financial experience across monitoring, forecasting, and operations, including experience with multiple locations globally.
  • Education: Relevant training in an advanced degree, such as a master's degree in business administration, nonprofit management, system science, statistics, or related fields, required.
  • Strategic Mindset: Strategic and operational mindset.
  • Business Planning: Experience with business plan design and implementation.
  • Change Management: Experience with change management, propelling change, supervising during organizational change processes, and generating buy-in.
  • Data Analysis: Strong skill and experience in qualitative data gathering, analysis, and reporting; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop cases.
  • Project Management: Project management expertise; ability and experience with prioritizing and managing multiple concurrent projects while delivering timely and accurate results.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to work effectively with IT to implement appropriate technologies, able to translate fundraiser needs to technical experts.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to explain complex insights with clarity and precision.
  • Leadership: Excellent relational skills; ability to resourcefully network internally and build trust and report.
  • CRM Experience: Experience with Raisers Edge or other fundraising CRM systems and other relational databases.
  • Leadership Experience: Leadership and management experience in a philanthropic field.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with Jewish organizations.
  • Passion for Humanitarian Work: Passion for humanitarian work and/or global Jewish service strongly preferred.
