Equipment Maintenance Specialist

Position Summary
We are in search of a proficient Maintenance Technician to coordinate and manage maintenance operations that aim to boost productivity and efficiency while reducing equipment downtime. This role entails performing routine maintenance on production machinery and ensuring the upkeep, construction, and repair of various equipment, facilities, and grounds. The technician may also support production in multiple roles such as Set-Up Mechanic, electrician, or machine operator/grinder.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain production machinery in peak condition through regular inspections and lubrication.
- Ensure safety mechanisms are operational to maintain a secure work environment.
- Overhaul and refurbish equipment as necessary.
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain machinery, including electrical components.
- Repair and rebuild machine parts to restore functionality.
- Possess expertise in Power Panel Fabrication and hydraulic systems.
- Interpret schematics for hydraulic components effectively.
- Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions efficiently.
- Inspect electrical systems for safety hazards, defects, and regulatory compliance.
- Provide management with insights on potential risks and necessary modifications.
- Assist production teams in various capacities as required.
- Follow blueprints and schematics to ensure adherence to building and safety regulations.
- Install grounding leads and connect power cables appropriately.
- Maintain accurate records, manage supply orders, and prepare necessary reports.
- Understand and apply PLC function and logic.
- Ensure operational efficiency of chillers and processed water systems daily.
- Optimize the use of materials and equipment.
- Train staff as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Keep precise records and communicate essential updates to supervisors.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- Technical school certification and/or 2-3 years of relevant experience preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Maintenance Technician role is required.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, along with mathematical skills.
- Proficient in both verbal and written English communication.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Familiarity with electronic devices is essential.
- Ability to utilize hand tools and perform basic repairs.
- Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting.
- Capacity to comprehend and adapt to new information swiftly.
- A collaborative team player committed to problem-solving.
Compensation and Benefits
