As a Medical Laboratory Scientist at CHI Mercy Health Valley City, you will play a vital role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. You will work in a fast-paced environment, performing a wide range of technical procedures, including routine patient testing, phlebotomy, and complex red cell antibody identification.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain a service-oriented approach in performing duties with fellow employees, patients, medical staff, and visitors.
- Operate with operational responsibility for the clinical/technical aspects of a section of the laboratory.
- Perform job duties of a Medical Technologist, including chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic procedures of a moderately and highly complex nature.
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or a related science from an accredited school.
- Current certification as a Medical Technologist, Clinical Lab Scientist, Medical Lab Scientist, or Medical Lab Technologist.
- Certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or the National Credentialing Agency (NCA).
- Licensed Medical Technologist in the state of North Dakota.
