Job Title: Principal Infrastructure Engineer Linux OS

Raytheon Careers is seeking a highly skilled Principal Infrastructure Engineer Linux OS to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and architecting Linux-based systems, as well as providing expertise in Linux infrastructure engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and architect Linux-based systems to meet the needs of our customers
  • Provide expertise in Linux infrastructure engineering, including provisioning, storage, and networking resources
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Linux-based systems
  • Develop and implement DevOps/DevSecOps practices to improve efficiency and security
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in Linux infrastructure engineering
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in Linux infrastructure engineering
  • Extensive experience with Linux/RHEL V6+ administration and support
  • Experience with Agile Development Methodologies (e.g. Scrum, SAFe)
  • Experience with programming languages (e.g. Python, Java, Ruby, Bash, C++, C#, Go)
  • Administrative fluency with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and VMWare solutions
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Linux LDAP for creating Linux-based accounts and managing roles and permissions
  • Experience with Linux Bash scripting for task automation and management of existing scripts
  • Notional experience with Windows & Windows Server OS
  • HW configuration and management experience
  • General/notional experience in Networks; SAN/NAS designs and implementation
  • Ansible Automation and yaml file structure
  • Cisco IOS/Fiber Switch Familiarity
  • Cisco Server Hardware/ILO Remote Management
  • Deployment of SSL Certificates in Windows and Linux
  • Oracle Database Management
