The Financial Program Analyst plays a crucial role in generating and managing financial reports and analyses, which encompass monthly revenue recognition, tracking actuals, forecasting, funding oversight, and performance evaluation for our U.S. Government projects.
This role involves maintaining and assessing performance metrics and forecasts for a range of programs, preparing program budgets, supporting the monthly closing process, and conducting financial analyses such as variance assessments, monthly or quarterly estimates at completion (EACs), and funding risk evaluations.
The Financial Program Analyst collaborates with Senior Program Analysts to convert data into comprehensive reports for group directors and program managers.This position reports to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis and engages with Program Managers and Corporate management across various levels.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare revenue and cost forecasts and provide budgetary inputs to Corporate
• Maintain Estimate to Complete and Estimate at Completion models
• Review program requirements and expenditure plans for accuracy and feasibility to ensure alignment with available funding and objectives
• Identify funding risks
• Develop and sustain performance metrics at the program and Business Unit levels
• Update monthly program-level reporting deliverables for stakeholders
• Assist program management in creating labor planning models
• Allocate employees to projects based on work structures provided by program managers, ensuring compliance with Project Authorizations and project plans
• Review revenue, margins, and monthly invoices from accounting; troubleshoot as necessary
• Conduct ad hoc financial analyses, model development, and reporting
• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience, or 3 years with a Master's degree, or a PhD without experience, or equivalent work experience is typically required for this role.
Expertise in EAC and Resource Planning
Familiarity with Deltek Costpoint
Advanced proficiency in Excel
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
• Security clearance is advantageous
• Understanding of Revenue Recognition requirements is a plus
• Extensive knowledge of Deltek Costpoint is beneficial
• General knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations, CAS Compliance, and governmental procedures
Compensation:
$85,000 - $120,000 This represents the typical compensation range for this position based on experience, location, and other factors.
