Job Summary

Kopp Glass, a leading manufacturer of high-performance glass products, is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee and coordinate production departments in accordance with company goals and quality objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Production Oversight: Direct and coordinate production departments to ensure efficient operations and adherence to company standards.
  • Team Management: Supervise hourly employees in production departments and ensure that all company policies and collective bargaining agreements are followed.
  • Inventory Management: Requisition required materials and supplies to maintain proper inventories and ensure efficient operations.
  • Performance Metrics: Leverage daily, weekly, and monthly reporting metrics to measure key indicators of performance and provide impactful feedback to department employees.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that production standards and work instructions aligned with the company's quality management system are adhered to by team members.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's degree or equivalent education from a technical school preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of supervisory experience in a unionized manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Availability: Must be available to work one of three standard production shifts as assigned, and/or rotate shifts to ensure direct supervision of the hourly workforce.
  • Skills: Proficient Microsoft Office skills, basic knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards, and proficient in reading and analyzing technical drawings.
