Project Engineer

About the Role:

The Project Engineer is a critical member of our team, responsible for ensuring the successful execution of projects from start to finish. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the project manager in overseeing project administration, including financial management, planning, and scheduling.
  • Supervise office engineers and the jobsite administrator, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Develop and manage cost control and labor recap in conjunction with the project manager and project superintendent.
  • Process and estimate potential change orders and requests for information.
  • Assist in developing and managing the project schedule.
  • Track and report on project progress.
  • Manage the timely acquisition of materials and equipment and field-initiated purchasing.
  • Run weekly owner/architect/contractor meetings and maintain meeting minutes.
  • Participate in jobsite safety meetings and weekly safety audits.
  • Facilitate the quality control plan and participate in preparatory meetings, initial inspections, and follow-up inspections.

Requirements:

  • A 4-year degree in civil or structural engineering, architecture, or construction management.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years' experience on large commercial construction projects.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel-based templates, Prolog, Primavera, and AutoDesk Suite.
