Custodian - Federal Agency

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to provide preventive cleaning services for a Federal Agency. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness in assigned areas of the facility, performing cleaning duties, and ensuring the upkeep of assigned equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas of the facility, including dusting, mopping, and vacuuming.
- Perform cleaning duties such as spot cleaning walls and windows, and using the high-speed buffer to burnish hard floor surfaces.
- Clean and maintain assigned equipment, including notifying the supervisor of any equipment or facilities needing repair or replacement.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to decipher/comprehend signs indicating danger.
- Skilled in the knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.
- Ability to obtain security clearance to work at the assigned work site.
- Previous custodial experience.
- Graduate of Goodwill of Greater Washington's NISH custodial training program.
