Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Director to lead our Air Force and Defense Agency Growth portfolio. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive growth strategy, managing a team of business development and capture management professionals, and driving business growth through new opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a growth strategy for the Air Force and Defense Agency portfolio, including identifying new business opportunities and developing plans to pursue them.
  • Lead and manage a team of business development and capture management professionals, providing guidance and direction to ensure successful execution of growth initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, and marketing, to ensure alignment and effective execution of growth strategies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams, to drive business growth and identify new opportunities.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform growth strategies and ensure competitiveness.
  • Develop and manage budgets and forecasts to ensure effective resource allocation and financial performance.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 15+ years of professional experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute business growth strategies, with a proven track record of success in a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of professionals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and develop insights to inform business decisions.
  • Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of the Air Force and Defense Agency markets and customer needs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • US Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical degree or background in Information Technology and Cyber Security.
  • Prior experience managing teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with federal government budget, investments, and acquisition processes.
  • Ability to gain internal support, operate independently with limited supervision, and establish a solid working relationship with technical staff, division managers, and peers across Leidos.
  • Business development/capture management familiarity within the Military industry base.
  • Business Development and Capture experience with large Federal bids, particularly Defense departments.
