Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Director - Quality to play a critical role in building, growing, and leading the TruRoots quality program. The successful candidate will develop and implement quality programs, continuous improvement initiatives, and establish a quality control and quality assurance organization to support our manufacturing systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quality Program Development and Implementation
    • Develop and implement quality programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
    • Establish and maintain a quality control and quality assurance organization to support manufacturing systems.
  • Leadership and Team Development
    • Provide leadership and subject matter expertise to the quality team.
    • Develop and implement training programs to ensure quality team members have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Quality Data Analysis and Reporting
    • Collect, analyze, and summarize product quality data and trends.
    • Collaborate with R&D on specification and formula enhancements to better define consumer expectations for quality and consistency.
  • Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action
    • Lead team efforts to identify and investigate quality complaints and incidents.
    • Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Leverage internal capabilities and external networks to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including OU Kosher, Non-GMO, USDA NOP Organic, FDA, and State Acidified Foods.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Provide sales support with customer data and document requests.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, operations, process engineering, R&D, hardware and software engineering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in food manufacturing, preferably in the beverage industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and managing a quality management system (QMS) and sustaining quality standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams.
  • Certifications or training in GFSI Quality Auditor, PCQI, GMPs, Juice HACCP, Gap Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, Continuous Improvement.

What We Offer

TruRoots Company offers a competitive salary range of $150,000 to $175,000, as well as a performance-based bonus program.
