The Fire Safety Senior Engineer will play a pivotal role in enhancing proactive safety initiatives, conducting field assessments, and executing comprehensive safety evaluations. This position involves collaboration with various business and engineering teams, both within and outside the organization.


A robust Flight Safety program is essential for the success of our operations and the safety of our clients.

As part of the Chief Engineers Office, our Flight Safety & Reliability Engineers deliver independent, data-driven insights across all commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities

This role is integral to the proactive management of Flight Safety at Oil and Gas, focusing on fire safety challenges.

  • Facilitate proactive assessments and fire hazard mitigation strategies, including root cause analyses and risk evaluations in collaboration with engineering and project teams.
  • Enhance Flight Safety and fire safety measures for new product designs while adhering to technical and program specifications.
  • Generate and present statistical analyses of operational risks in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Ensure thorough documentation of technical data produced for assigned projects, in line with engineering standards.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, business challenges, and significant updates.
  • Lead or contribute to organizational efforts within assigned projects.
  • Engage in technical and program reviews addressing Flight Safety and Reliability concerns.
  • Act as the fire safety subject matter expert for new development initiatives.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Systems Engineering.
  • Practical knowledge of fire behavior in various materials.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience in project management and program execution.
  • Degree in Fire Protection Engineering is preferred.
  • Capability to develop analytical models to support investigations.
  • In-depth understanding of combustion, fire modeling, and suppression systems.
  • Familiarity with fire safety regulations and aircraft certification processes.
  • Knowledge of aircraft engine systems and operations.
  • Experience in conducting investigations and determining root causes.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with specialists.
  • Demonstrated skills in statistical data analysis and effective presentation.
  • Proficient in computer applications and able to work independently.
  • Willingness to expand knowledge in risk assessment.
  • Ability to represent the organization in safety discussions and reviews.
  • Hands-on experience is highly valued.
