Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Specialist to join our team at F.E. Moran Group of Companies. As a Fire Alarm Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining fire alarm systems to ensure the safety of our clients and their properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Installation and Testing: Assemble and install fire alarm systems, including panels, detectors, and other components, to ensure they meet local, state, and national codes and regulations.
  • System Maintenance and Repair: Troubleshoot and repair fire alarm systems to identify and correct electrical issues and system failures.
  • Code Compliance: Ensure that all fire alarm systems are compliant with local, state, and national codes and regulations, including NFPA standards.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to clients, including communicating system status and providing timely information on work orders.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with project foremen and other trades to complete projects and work orders efficiently.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; Understanding of NFPA standards and state and local building and fire codes; Previous experience as a Fire Alarm Technician or other electrical experience required.
  • Technical Skills: Experience utilizing equipment used to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain fire alarm systems; Ability to read and analyze blueprints, schematics, and drawings; Intermediate MS Office and Excel skills.
  • Flexibility and Analytical Skills: Ability to travel to client sites regularly throughout the state and surrounding area; Ability to read and understand technical information, analyze, think critically, and problem-solve.
