About the Role

Burns & McDonnell is a leading engineering, architecture, and construction company with a strong presence in the mission-critical data center sector. We are seeking an experienced Senior Architect to join our Mission Critical team, where you will play a key role in designing and delivering cutting-edge data center projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Team Leadership: Provide leadership and coordination for project teams, ensuring design intent is incorporated into construction documentation.
  • Mentorship and Team Management: Mentor and lead teams in the production of accurate technical and contract documentation for project construction.
  • Construction Administration: Mentor and lead construction administration duties, including bid review and support, site visits, addressing technical issues, and improving quality during construction.
  • Government and Regulatory Affairs: Work with government and regulatory agencies to achieve overall project schedule and objectives.
  • Talent Management: Manage, mentor, and recruit talent, including resources to produce 3D software renderings and critical presentations.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor of Architecture degree from an accredited program.
  • Experience: 8 years of architectural experience, consulting preferred.
  • Registration: Registered Architect preferred.
  • Skills: Expert knowledge in standard architectural techniques and procedures, excellent written and verbal communication skills, expert computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite), expert computer skills (e.g. BIM (Revit), Adobe Suites, and 3D rendering programs).
  • Personal Qualities: Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment, demonstrated critical thinking skills, expert attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership: Experience with leading the design for large projects and delegating work tasks to team members, ability to lead execution of work and resolve issues in a team environment.
  • Travel: Ability to travel.
