Position Overview

The Johns Hopkins Hospital, a prestigious academic medical center, is seeking a dedicated Clinical Pharmacist IIA to join our dynamic pharmacy team. This role is integral to our mission of delivering exceptional patient care and advancing pharmaceutical education and research.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive pharmacy services in both inpatient and outpatient oncology infusion environments.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to enhance patient wellness and manage acute or chronic health conditions.
  • Ensure the safe and effective use of medications by providing expert consultations to healthcare professionals.
  • Educate patients and their families regarding medication management and therapeutic options.
  • Contribute to the training and development of pharmacy students, residents, and fellow pharmacists.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacy with a Pharm D. or BS degree.
  • Completion of an ASHP accredited residency program or equivalent experience is essential.
  • A minimum of three years of clinical experience in a health-system setting is required.
  • Current licensure as a pharmacist in the State of Maryland is mandatory.
  • Board Certification through the Board of Pharmacy Specialties or a relevant certification must be obtained within two years of employment.
  • Completion of hospital and departmental education requirements within 90 days of hire.
  • ACLS and/or PALS certification is preferred.

Work Schedule: Rotating shifts, including weekends, full-time commitment.
