Position Overview

The Johns Hopkins Hospital, a leading academic medical center, is seeking a dedicated Clinical Pharmacist II for our oncology infusion services. This role is integral to our mission of delivering exceptional healthcare and advancing medical education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive distributive and clinical pharmacy services in both inpatient and outpatient oncology settings.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to enhance patient wellness and manage acute or chronic health conditions.
  • Consult with healthcare professionals regarding medication-related issues and educate patients and their families about their treatment regimens.
  • Deliver educational support to patients, pharmacy residents, students, and other healthcare practitioners.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of an ASHP accredited residency program or equivalent experience is essential.
  • A minimum of three years of clinical experience in a health-system setting is required.
  • Current licensure as a pharmacist in the State of Maryland is mandatory.
  • Board Certification through the Board of Pharmacy Specialties or an equivalent certification must be obtained within two years of employment.
  • Completion of hospital and departmental education requirements within 90 days of hire.
  • ACLS and/or PALS certification is preferred.

Work Schedule: This position requires a rotating shift, including weekends, and is full-time.
